THE "WHY" OF LEAD TESTING
Conducting thorough lead dust testing is particularly vital in Pennsylvania, where lead contamination poses a significant health risk. Lead is a neurotoxin and by performing lead dust testing, the technicians as well as clients are ensuring the safety of individuals, especially children, who are most vulnerable to lead exposure. Identifying and addressing lead dust hazards promptly helps prevent lead poisoning, which can lead to severe cognitive and developmental issues.
Norristown, PA
As of January 1, 2022, lead paint inspections (for buildings built before 1978) are required for all rental properties, child day-care centers, condemned buildings, and for property transfers.
Philadelphia, PA
On October 1, 2020, the City of Philadelphia enforced a Rental Property and Lead Certification Law, that now requires landlords to conduct lead dust testing and certify rental properties as lead safe or lead free to A) execute a new or renewed lease or B) receive or renew a rental license. The requirement applies to all residential properties built before 1978.
East Lansdowne, PA
The ordinance requires rental property owners and childcare facilities on older properties to test for lead paint hazards and certify that their properties are lead safe. In addition, when residents sell their older properties, they will also need to get their home tested for lead.

THE PROCESS
At C2M Ventures LLC, we believe in making lead testing simple and hassle-free. We will walk you through our streamlined process consisting of four easy steps that ensure comprehensive and accurate results. Discover how we prioritize your safety and provide peace of mind every step of the way.
STEP 1:
SCHEDULE INSPECTION
Inspections can be scheduled at your convenience by clicking on the link below. Please ensure that the correct service/ property type is selected. Full payment is due at scheduling.
Upon completion of scheduling, a confirmation will be sent to the email provided.
STEP 2:
INSPECTION
On the day of your appointment our EPA Certified Lead Dust Sampling Technician(s) will arrive promptly at the location specified in the scheduling confirmation, fully equipped with safety and protective gear to include gloves, masks, and shoe covers.
Our inspector(s) will perform a thorough exterior AND interior visual inspection to ensure the location is free of deteriorated paint (flaking, chipping, peeling and/or chalking).
If the visual inspection passed on the exterior AND interior of the location, they will proceed to collect dust wipe samples from a window sill and floor in each bedroom and a common area.
STEP 3:
THE RESULTS
Once testing is completed, all samples collected will be promptly sent to an independent lab for thorough analysis. While the standard turnaround time for results is between 5-7 business days once the samples arrive to the lab, we offer expedited processing to ensure rapid delivery of results.
Expedited processing is available for selection when scheduling.
STEP 4:
CERTIFICATION
Upon completion of sample analysis, if passed, the client will receive via email a Lead Safe Certificate along with a detailed report.
Clients are responsible for submitting the lead safe certification and inspection reports to the Philadelphia Department of Health

If the samples fail (do not meet EPA/HUD lead clearance standards), which is the result of a high presence of lead, client will receive a detiled report containing the results, remediation recommendationand our retesting process which, includes a fee.
